Wexford
Rally
A popular Rallies on the calendar, based a few miles
outside of Wexford town at Rosslare and only some 10 minutes
from the ferry terminal. It is sometimes difficult to know if
it is a Rally or a religious pilgrimage.
Competitors and spectators return year after year to this
world famous event. The stages are fast Irish Tar, which run
on the Saturday and Sunday and like many Irish events if you
retire on the Saturday but can repair your car by Sunday
morning, you can enter a separate event the ‘ Sunday Run’.
It has long been a popular event for Championships.
The Wexford Wildlife
Reserve

Location: Situated
on the north side of Wexford Harbour, the Reserve is
immensely attractive to wildfowl and waders.
The reserve is part owned by the Irish
Wildbird Conservancy, and run by the National Parks and
Wildlife Service. One third of the world's population of
Greenland white Fronted Geese over winter
there.
International figures of Brent
Geese are to be seen, and thousands of other duck and
wader species winter there too. Excellent viewing
facilities with hides and observation tower. Visitor
centre open daily, free admission. Guided tours are
available on request.

Wexford Beaches
|
In Rosslare are some of
the finest beaches in in Ireland. Many are safe for
swimming and family use. How ever please observe
information and warning signs. Most of the beaches are
quite with an array of interesting flora and fauna to
keep you interested. Fantastic for walking, photography,
and plant spotting. There are many dunes where you can
observe rabbits, hares, hawks, otter, dolphins, seals,
even the odd whale.
Enjoy wonderful walks at
sunset, dipp your toes in the warm rock pools, and watch
the sun set, see the moon rise framed the sweep of the
famous Tuskar lighthouse. Walk from Bally trent to Carne
and enjoy a pint in the lighthouse pub or a bit of
dinner then walk back to burn off the indulgence. Or
call us to arrange a pick up.

un spoilt beaches are perfect for relaxing and taking in
the tranquil surroundings that Wexford has to offer.
Easily accessed in minutes from our accommodation in
Rosslare, you can get there by foot car or cycle. Horse
riding is available from local stables.

Commodore John Barry US NAVY
Moyglare lodge is right inthe heart of Barry country, Ideal for service men and women looking to research theire Navy's history and founding Frther.
Irish man John Barry (1745 – 13 September 1803) was an officer in the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War and later in the United States Navy. Barry was born in Tacumshane, County Wexford close to Moyglare lodge in Assaly, , Ireland and appointed a Captain in the Continental Navy 7 December 1775.
A Large Statue of Commodore Barry stands overlooking the Crescent Quay in Wexford town in Ireland.
It was a gift to the town from the United States and was delivered by a US Navy frigate. The statue was unveiled in 1956, and each year a parade and wreath-laying ceremony takes place at the statue to celebrate "Barry Day".
